Hardware Installation is only one of the many services our highly-trained locksmiths are called upon for. Other professional-service we render can range from lockouts to security improvement. One way to greatly improve your security is installing a deadbolt. A double-sided deadbolt is a great way to secure exterior doors. This calls for a locksmith who is not only experienced but charges reasonably.
That is where we come in! We have a hardware installation team. Our rates are reasonable and sometimes negotiable. We also provide after-sales customer service for a set period after the fact.
First, our technician sketches out on your door the exact position where he or she will fit the deadbolt. To do this he uses a template that is normally sold together as a package deal. The template guides the tech on the exact places to drill.
The locksmith then hammers a small nail at the point where drilling is to be done. Alternatively, he may mark the hole with a pencil. Using a drill, he drills a hole as per the size of the bolt.
Next he drills a latch hole as per the drilling template. In so doing, our tech exercises caution in installing the latch and strike plate. Using a utility knife, he carefully sketches an outline of the strike plate.
The technician will then remove the strike plate. Using a chisel and a mallet he will chisel out the area where the strike plate will eventually be. After this he will carefully perform the hardware installation of the lock per instructions, on the pack.
At this point, the task is nearing completion. The technician closes the door and marks where the plate aligns with the door frame. He then drills out a hole for the latch and installs the strike plate.
You can be sure that our hardware installation team will clean up after completing the work. We are highly-noted in the Metroplex for the quality of our service and the pride we take in our jobs. Our residential locksmiths will make sure that you are satisfied before he walks off the jobsite.
