A-1 DFW Locksmith is dedicated to serving DFW area. Each A-1 Dallas TX locksmith is committed to integrity at the best price possible.

A-1 DFW Locksmith—like the Southlake football team—is skilled, disciplined, and highly trained.

The U.S. Marines live by three core values: honor, courage, and commitment. At A-1 DFW Locksmith, we operate by a similar code. We honor our customers, and team by keeping our word. When we commit to an arrival time, we stick to it. When we quote you a price over the phone, that’s the price you’ll pay—no hidden fees, no surprises.

You might not associate courage with a locksmith company. But when someone calls our emergency hotline at (972) 284-7500, they may be in a stressful or even dangerous situation. While we always recommend dialing 911 in an actual emergency, if you’re locked out late at night in an unfamiliar area, you want a locksmith who will arrive fast, and on time.

A-1 Locksmith is your trusted Dallas locksmith. We’ve served North Texas for over 60 years. We’re licensed, bonded, and insured—with an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau.

Commitment—our third value—is central to everything we do. From car keys, and safes to home locks, and commercial security, every A-1 Dallas locksmith is certified by the Associated Locksmiths of America (ALOA) and ready to serve.

Need a transponder key? We’ve got you covered. A-1 Locksmith offers transponder keys for only $40 to $175—far below the $450 some dealerships charge. Click here for a free instant quote or call (972) 284-7500 for more info.

Just like the U.S. Marine Corps, A-1 Locksmith is committed to serving residents across Dallas, Fort Worth, and the Mid-Cities with integrity, speed, and professionalism.

The issue of public safety is an understandably important one in any context. Modern technology, and modern conveniences have given people unprecedented access to all manner of information.

The issue of public safety is an understandably important one in any context. Modern technology and modern conveniences have given people unprecedented access to all manner of information. Literally anything that you could ever possibly wish to know, you can in all likelihood find on the Internet. A simple connection is all that separates you from a literal world of knowledge. It gives one pause to think about that, but there is of course a downside to such a level of access. Of course information itself is just that: raw information. Knowing how a knife works can lead one to slice vegetables with it or assault somebody. The choice of how to use the information, for good or ill, presents a gray area. Should we have access to potentially harmful information? Or is it a bad idea to censor information that may be harmful if it has good applications; for instance, would you want to stop teaching people how knives work if they may realize that one could be used to hurt people?

The core of what people seek out, the raw data and raw information, is in, and of itself essentially pure. Sure, we know that blades can be made super-sharp. We know that they can cause damage to any number of things, including people. But simply knowing that blades are sharp, and are used for cutting gives us no inclination as to how we should use them. When you strip everything else away, and get to the raw bits, there is no inclination towards either good or bad in this information. The bias comes in when people decide to twist the information to their will, either good or bad. Therefore, should this unprecedented access to all manner of information be considered a good thing? Should it be censored to protect the public?

Believe it or not, the issue of information access affects the locksmithing industry as much as it does the issue of public safety. Public security is at stake here. The issue boils down to a basic question: Should locksmithing methods, as well as the inner workings of high-security locks, and the like, be divulged to the public? On one hand, you have an industry that maintains security in all they do, and who specialize in providing the means for security to their customers. The would not want this information to fall into the ‘wrong hands,’ those who would use it for ill. On the other hand there is a party who wishes to have access to this information for not only the curious but for educational purposes. Whatever you decide on this issue, know that the professionals at A-1 Locksmiths will serve the Dallas/Fort Worth area with integrity, and honesty. They are available 24-hours a day at (972)-284-7500.

Warning! Spammers, and Scammers have invaded the locksmith business in Dallas.

Warning! You looking for a locksmith who is open 24/7 and ready to help you right now. What you may not know is that your very vulnerability is setting you up for an unlicensed locksmiths coming to help you, then charging you way over what the job is worth.

To ensure you are dealing with a local, licensed locksmith, make sure that your locksmith has an identification card called “The Pocket Card”. This official locksmith ID is required of all Dallas locksmiths by The Texas Department of Public Safety. Ask for this while still on the phone. You might also ask the name of the locksmith shop they are associated with. Dallas has many fine locksmiths who have full service shops, and have served the community for years. Shops like A-1 Locksmith.

Recently, however, there has been companies that take your call in a call center, somewhere in the world, and send out anyone they can find to help with the emergency. The quote they give you get on the phone may not be what you are asked to pay after the driver gets you inside your house, business or vehicle. They make all kinds of excuses as to why it will be much, much more.
