1. Nearly a million people applied for a new Texas driver’s license from 2018 to 2021.

According to a recent news article, “Nearly a million people applied for a new Texas driver’s license from 2018 to 2021. Most of them, 161,456 to be exact, came from California, followed by Washington, Nevada and Oregon.” Part of the reason for increasing crime is likely due to the influx of new residents.

2. Dallas ranks #30 among Texas cities for crime rate per 100,000 people.
