Emergency Locksmith, Can I Trust You?

At the time of an emergency the last thing you want is someone taking advantage of not only you.. but your wallet. Locksmith scam companies are on the rise, so educating yourself on who the real trustworthy locksmiths are locally would probably be a good idea.

How Do I Know If It’s A Scam?

First things first, yes it would be awesome if that $15 locksmith ad on Google you saw was real, but it’s not.  The $15 ad is one of the biggest and longest locksmith scams ever known. This scam is in every major city in the United States, and the dollar amount changes. These scam companies grab your attention by showing dollar amounts of $15, $17, $19, $20, all they want is to get you to call because once you do, well.. they own you. In 2011 the BBB received over 1,052 complaints over locksmith scam companies throughout the U.S.

What Should I Do To Make Sure It’s Not A Scam?

REMEMBER: If they can’t quote an EXACT price over the phone, then don’t give them your service. You are dealing with a scam company. This will be true, 100% of the time. Flat rate locksmiths are the only companies you can trust, If they say $75 over the phone, then expect to pay $75 on site.
